Katie Yamasaki writes and illustrates children's books that explore concepts of civil liberties, resilience and identity, themes also present in her work as a muralist. Families will listen to Katie read the story of Naomi's neighborhood as well as that of Katie's grandfather, the architect of the World Trade Center Twin Towers. A group art activity focusing on neighborhoods to follow!
