Cuentas en Espanol/Stories in Spanish and English

Join us for a reading of the children's book Juan Hormiga, about a tiny ant who enthralls his anthill with his grandfather's escapades and decides to embark on his own grand adventures, stepping out into the giant world he has only known through stories! We will share a brief video by the author Gustavo Roldan discussing his creation and also hear in his own words how storytelling inspires his life's work.

Ivalas Quartet

Just in time for spring break! The Schneider Concerts and Sugar Hill Children's Museum join together to bring you the Ivalas Quartet.

With music from Mendelssohn to the movies, this free 1-hour-long concert is designed to get young children on their feet, using their voices, and their imaginations to get engaged with chamber music.

Part of the Schneider Concerts spring season featuring the series' inaugural curating/performing ensemble, the Ivalas Quartet in a wide variety of programs. Supported by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the City Council and made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.

Toddler Time with Evan V

​Our monthly Toddler Time with Evan V introduces children to diverse rhythms and features fun lyrics that both kids and parents can sing along with. ​Evan's jumping jams ​encourage movement and interactive storie​s that ignite children's imagination! There will also be tambourines, shakers, dance ribbons, and more to help facilitate learning, movement, and dancing!
