Join us as we celebrate the culmination of 'Life Stories/ Life Collage,' a 10-week collage workshop in collaboration with the Polo Grounds Senior Center and the Sugar Hill Children's Museum. Led and facilitated by artist Paul Ferrara with the support of storyteller and teaching artist Lynnette Braxton, and Museum artist educator Tony Gonzalez, seniors were asked to recount memorable moments in their lives, thus creating memory books and boxes that encapsulate their memories.
The event will share memoirs drawn from the life experiences of the participants through a presentation of vibrant collages and personal narratives. Works on art will be on-display at the Museum during the program.
Life Stories/Life Collage is made possible in part with public funds from Creative Engagement / Creative Learning, supported by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council and the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and administered by Lower Manhattan Cultural Council.
