Sugar Hill Children's Museum of Art & Storytelling draws on the power of art and storytelling to nurture the imaginations of young children, helping to develop language, literacy and problem-solving skills. Our programs are specifically designed for 3 to 8 year olds—a time when children are most open to exploring the world, and their place in it, through the arts, and can benefit immeasurably from these experiences.

Influenced by the Reggio Emilia approach, pedagogy at the museum is rooted in community, self-guided discovery, creative expression and the learning that naturally occurs through play and exploration.  We are also driven by the growing research that draws a clear correlation between early exposure of children to the arts and increased long-term critical thinking, communication, and social skills. We believe in creating environments that are inclusive, accessible, and carefully crafted to suit the needs of all children.

The Museum's offers a special school partnership program that includes artist visits with students in their classrooms, and school trips to the Museum to view our exhibits and participate in interactive learning experiences.
