ABOUT 'GIRAFFE PATH' (HIKE THE HEIGHTS)
In its 13th year, Hike the Heights is an annual volunteer-planned and community run event links local residents with their beautiful parks in Northern Manhattan, including the “Giraffe Path,” a trail that connects 7 parks and surrounding neighborhoods from the tip of Central Park to the Cloisters. The celebration is meant to strengthen the bonds between our diverse communities and their beautiful public spaces. The event is organized by CLIMB (City Life Is Moving Bodies), in partnership with the Sugar Hill Children’s Museum of Art & Storytelling, and the Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation.
