Join us along with the Nazmo Dance Collective and folklorist Kay turner for an interactive afternoon discussion about the relevance of fairy tales in our modern world.

Participants will discuss social and global issues including identity, cultural inclusiveness, and feminism within “The Frog Prince,” “Cinderella,” and the Dominican legend “La Ciguapa.” Attendees will be invited to share their personal and cultural understandings of fairy tale themes.

Ideas from children and adults shared at the Grimm Community Conversation will directly inspire performance content of the Nazmo Dance Collective’s upcoming production, Grimm.
