Cecilia Biagini
Working within the borders of geometry I paint to open the space, to build a trail that crosses dimensions until a new perspective might emerge. In search of what makes life I explore the properties and relations between abstraction and construction, appearance and disappearance, lines and surfaces, as well as form and structure. I try to put in the scene animated aspects or diagrams that are hidden from the matter. Focusing on rhythm, layers, color-tones and repetition of minimal elements. I follow the nature of improvising with tools, creating a system that allows me to work beyond expectations. Wandering around the workshop, I carry out a “dance”, a choreography where the things, the sounds that I produce seem to come to life generating a network of encounters, where sometimes I end up incorporating three-dimensional elements to a painting or sounds to a sculpture. Through a range of media: painting, sculpture, photography, poetry and sound, I am interested in creating spaces for contemplation, the poetics that develop our sensitive world.
